Old Interview with TJ Wood from SpankThis

In August 2012 and then in March 2013, one of the two main figures at SpankThis gave an interview to the now-defunct blog Spanking4Men. These two interviews particularly caught my attention because the SpankThis studio was very well-known. Unlike many spanking enthusiasts, I didn’t find their spankings amazing and I thought their videos were too sexual. What I liked was that they featured young guys with a realistic look for spanking scenes, and the spankers were older — meaning there was a certain realism in the scenarios.
TJ Wood is a very familiar face in SpankThis productions, alongside Jeff Sterne. While the latter is slim, TJ Wood is stocky and sports the beard that defines him so well. However, according to his statements on his SpankingTube profile, he is not a producer but just a friend of theirs. So he’s simply an actor.
SpankThis is one of the oldest studios still in existence. Its niche: twinks — very slim young men with an adolescent look. The spankings are more erotic than disciplinary. Yet TJ Wood prefers the latter.

- We don’t know whether that spanking was scripted (and simply made harder than planned), added to the video afterward, or done off-camera as punishment/warm-up. In all three cases, this anecdote seriously violates the principles of consent and respect.

A Reputable Studio
SpankThis is part of a larger group, Helix Studios, well-known in the gay industry for its studio 8teenboy.com. It specializes in very young legal performers with an adolescent look — the famous twinks — and is the professional equivalent of the Russian mike18 (though the Russian one was very amateurish). But at Helix, everyone is genuinely of age. The Brent Corrigan scandal shook many people in this industry.
Filming used to take place in Florida. At one point they moved to San Diego, California. It now appears they are based in Las Vegas, Nevada.
As TJ Wood says in his first interview, the models seem very satisfied with working conditions. A quick search engine check will confirm that.
