Old interview with TJ Wood from SpankThis

In August 2012 and again in March 2013, one of SpankThis's two acolytes gave an interview to the blog Spanking4Men (now defunct). These two interviews caught my attention because the SpankThis studio was well known. Unlike many spanking enthusiasts, I didn't find their spankings great and I found their videos too sexy. What I liked was that they were young people with a realistic look for spanking, and that the spankers were older, meaning there was a certain realism in the scenario.

TJ Wood is a well-known face in SpankThis productions, starring Jeff Sterne. While Jeff is slim, TJ Wood is in good shape and sports a beard that characterizes him so well. However, according to his statements on his Spankingtube profile, he is not a producer but a friend of theirs. He is therefore simply an actor.

SpankThis is one of the oldest studios still in existence. Its niche: twinks, which consist of thin to very thin young men with a teenage look. The spankings are more erotic than punitive. Yet, TJ Wood prefers the latter.

Key points of the 1st interview

Key points of the 2nd interview

  • Likes to play authoritarian characters
  • Has a weakness for punitive spanking
  • In real life, there are a lot of guys who make him want to spank them, especially anything to do with customer relations which he finds generally bad.
  • Loves the sound of skin on skin and hates anything that comes out of the Republican Party (equivalent to the right and the far right in France)
  • Has Robin Hood spanking fantasies with so many characters!
  • In real life he spanks all types of guys, not just twinks like on SpankThis
  • Anecdote 3 : “OK – quick story. I can’t name names, but I arrived on set once and the production team asked me for a favor. 99% of the models at Helix are great, but they’d been working with one model all week who’d been a real pain in the ass – and not in a good way, if you know what I mean! They asked if I could give him a really hard spanking to take him down a notch or two. I went all out with a pretty intense spanking, but the guy writhed and squirmed like a rag doll in the wind! Still, his arse was bright red when I was done!”
  • It is unclear whether the spanking in question was pre-programmed in the film (and therefore more intense than expected), whether it was added to the film, or whether it took place outside of the film as punishment or warm-up. In all three cases, this anecdote seriously violates the principles of consent and respect.
  • Think of spanking as a journey of the mind and a journey of the body, letting vulnerability express itself and hormones carry us away
  • “For the spanker, your fantasy can take you wherever your mind wants to take you—to that son of a bitch who cut you off on the highway or spanking that hot cousin who always wore those bikini underwear. And spanking should always be consensual.”

A renowned studio

SpankThis is part of a larger group, Helix Studios, known in the gay community for its studio8teenboy.com. It specializes in very young adults with the look of adolescents, the famous twinks or minets, and is the equivalent of the Russianmike18 (in professional terms, however, as the Russian looked so amateur). But at Helix, everyone is actually an adult. The Brent Corrigan affair has shaken more than one person in this country.

Filming used to take place in Florida. At one point, they were in San Diego, California. But it seems they're now in Las Vegas, Nevada.
